Recent improvements that demonstrate the company’s commitment to continual improvement include changing from a solvent-based in-house treatment area to a more environmentally friendly water-based manufacturing process for all products.
Walton Garden Buildings Ltd is fully committed to sourcing timber in a responsible and efficient manner from its suppliers and supports responsible forestry management practices that promote forest sustainability. It is committed to sourcing all of its timber from legal sources and seeks evidence of compliance from its suppliers that they are operating good forestry management practices in accordance with the laws of their country.
The company does not procure material from illegal or controversial sources and gives preference to certified forest products. The company will not source any timber species prohibited under the convention on International Trade in Endangered species (CIT) The company demonstrates its commitment to responsible forestry through its commitment to recognised accreditation schemes FSC, PEFC and SFI.
Walton Garden Buildings Ltd is able to provide a full Chain-of-Custody Certificate Number: SGS-COC-0237 for FSC accredited timber supplies. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests.
The FSC logo with a registered chain of custody number on products verifies that the wood is from independently well-managed forests.
